The elevator to the 4th floor.
Today I met a pregnant woman on the elevator at Regional Hospital while I was making my way to go to the doctors for my damaged throat. In our short elevator ride she explained to me that she had been pregnant for 2 months and she was absolutely cheerful about it. I congratulated her, and so did another mother-aged woman whom was in the elevator with us during the time. The other woman asked her...

The Help
I just finished watching the movie, The Help, and holy crap it was one of the best movies I have ever watched. If you get the chance, I highly suggest you take the time to watch it. The insight, the life lessons, and the loving story it tells, really was amazing. When we run into crap in our lives we all struggle to get back on our feet again; and in this movie it showed real women getting into...

Bangin' Percussion
“Its time to go to band, play some drums, and peace the fuck out.” -Meltang I was planning on falling asleep a hour ago, but I ended up waking up not so long ago. Thinking about it, playing in band is probably the biggest hastle for a percussionist ever. Moving bajillion instruments and simply being able to play every instrument. But no regrets, sometimes the greatest things in life...

This weekend has ought to be one of those “changing”, if that’s the right word for it, weekends. I was sent on an adventure Friday night, and one of the most rewarding things I witnessed was true genuine kindness in it’s raw, flesh and bone. Amazing people are ready to offer, help out, and give when we run into dire and difficult situations. Hugs, soothing words, clothes,...

I’m pretty bummed out that I didn’t make it this year, making it this year meant almost everything to me. I though I played well enough to make it in this year, but looks like it didn’t buy it! Well what’s done is done, there’s no room for regrets only room for improvement. I know I could have practiced more, played better, and that’s where I faulted! A lovely...

Happy New Years ! 2012
This past year has got to be one to remember. 2011 has been a year full of experiences. It seems like it all passes way to fast, it all happened in a blink of an eye. I still clearly remember the days we got back from winter break the beginning of this year, ready to challenge the new year. And now it’s over, one whole year, 365 days. Through it all I’ve met people, experiences that...

I should seriously get finished on packing, but being me I know I’m going to procrastinate until the moment I have to step out the door and get into the car. I’m excited for my Tahoe trip tomorrow with my UMUSIC family. It’s been awhile since I’ve seen the snow. When I woke up this morning I read and cleaned my room, which, was the messiest place ever for 2 weeks due to my...

Days go by fast when I sleep in until 2PM. The result of staying up all night being utterly confused by watching Fight Club while Skyping was equivalent to staying up until sunrise and waking up shortly after lunch time. I decided to have an unproductive day and stayed in bed drinking hot chocolate while reading The Son of Neptune. I’m matching Brandon in his hell week, therefore I worked...

Hard work beats talent when talent fails to work...
Calculus is flying hard. It’s one of those subjects that need more than extra work for me to fully understand and master. I haven’t been soaring in this class, but it’s not time to give up yet! Last bit of work to go, do my best on the finals, and get the best grade I can possibly get. I’m not gifted when it comes to math, not at all, but looks like the hard work has to be...

"Maybe you just have to interpret it differently."...
That was by far the greatest quote I’ve heard lately. My buddy Anthony said this. This quote has so much meaning to it, and is all different; depending on how each and every person who hears it defines it. He told it to me as a way to make a bad day become way more positive. But after thinking about it for a while, it can mean so much more: from solving a difficult situation, to a calculus...

I am deluging in Safeway Select Pumpkin Pie Ice cream after a steaming shower while watching a movie.  Thanksgiving break has got to be the best, great time spent with the people you love, and even greater time spent with quietness and myself, rejuvenating.  Fall time makes me feel cozy. You can bundle up and walk down the streets enjoying the changing of colors on the tree leaves.
