Days go by fast when I sleep in until 2PM. The result of staying up all night being utterly confused by watching Fight Club while Skyping was equivalent to staying up until sunrise and waking up shortly after lunch time. I decided to have an unproductive day and stayed in bed drinking hot chocolate while reading The Son of Neptune. I’m matching Brandon in his hell week, therefore I worked out for 2 hours. Before I knew it the clock hit 6 and it was time for a family party!
It was a family gathering from the East Coast all the way to Hawaii. I met all my aunts, uncles and cousins from the East Coast & Hawaii, they all are quite interesting people. I have an artist cousin who debates like a boss and is currently a junior that resides in NY. His art pieces are actually quite amazing, plus he’s got an all-natural afro. Pretty wicked huh? I have 2 Hawaiian, younger cousins that engage in competitive swimming and love hula dancing. They both are adorable, and also have a all-natural Hawaiian afros. I have a Japanese uncle who is quite the piano musician when he’s tipsy but is an amazing photographer when sober. I have an All American aunt who is a professor of English&Language studies at the University of Hawaii. I also have an aunt who is in culinary studies. She makes the best tasting, and fancy looking food ever! I felt like I was in a fancy-schmancy restaurant.
It was amazing meeting all my family today, we’re all so diverse but yet we all share the same blood line. We don’t see each other often since we all live so far apart but times when we do get together, it makes the holiday season all the more joyful.
